  • AGUNSA Bonded Warehouse “AEXSA” commences deconsolidation of fruit in transit

    On Wednesday, April 24th, AEXSA successfully completed its first task of deconsolidating fresh fruit in transit at its Bonded Warehouse in San Antonio, Chile.

    After receiving authorization from the Agriculture and Livestock Service (SAG) to make fruit transits to third countries and including AEXSA as a bonded site in the addendum of the Argentina/Chile Transit Protocol, these types of operations were initiated, deconsolidating seven containers with bananas and pineapples, originating from Ecuador with destination to Argentina and Uruguay.

    The operation had approval from the inspector, specialist for goods in transit with SAG, from the onset. Then, the deconsolidation and subsequent dispatch on pallets via truck with fresh bananas and pineapples. The trucks left the premises of AEXSA without setbacks, after an efficient and safe task, which allowed for the Argentine importer to have available its goods on time, avoiding additional costs or delays due to congestion.

    “The high standard of our premises allowed us to receive in short order the authorization to operate this type of merchandise, opening us to an important market, which requires an agile, dedicated service with a high level of service. We are very happy with the performance of our teams and the confidence of our clients,” said Cristian Ibieta, Commercial Assistant Manager of AEXSA.

    The new bonded warehouse at San Antonio with its 50,000 square metres, has a connection capacity for 150 reefer containers. It has 5,000 square metres of concrete warehouses and 8 elevated platforms, offering customers with goods in transit a timely, safe and flexible service, through an advanced technological platform with a focus on innovation and reporting in real time.
