In 1997, AGUNSA, together with other international investors, created the private company SCL Terminal Aéreo Santiago S.A., in order to respond to the international call for bids made by the Ministry of Public Works of the Chilean Government.
At present, AGUNSA participates in the partnership with 47.02% of the ownership, which is aimed at expanding, operating and maintaining the International Terminal Arturo Merino Benítez.
The Santiago Airport is the main entry by air to Chile. Nowadays, it has an airport infrastructure with the capacity to receive more than 12 million passengers; also, it has modern import and export warehouses; and offers new and varied food services, shops, art, health, offices, conference rooms, state-of-the-art technology and cargo services.
